First things first, finally got my babyyyyyyy!

Been wanting to get it for a long time but heard bout the queue and hassle so it put me off for quite a while. Then while strolling around at Plaza Pelangi in Jb, a day before CNY eve, saw that Maxis put up a sign saying 'ready stock' for iPhone4s. Was so tempted to get it on the spot but I had to do some pondering about it.

I actually went back on the third night of CNY but the shop was closed and finally laid my hands on it the next day before coming back to KL. So far it's pretty good except that I prefer the Blackberry when it comes to typing. For social networking, BB wins hands down. CNY was great as usual, pictures still with that lazy/busy ass sister. Lost 60+ to gambling. Tried ngau for the first time and was on a losing streak :((((

Commencement of Semester 2 of Year 2 today, still the same old stuff except for a new Law lecturer. Might head back to Jb this weekend for Chap Goh Meh in conjunction with 4 days holiday!

In a month's time

Exactly a month and a day away from turning 20, the big two-O. For those who have gotten past this, I'm sure you've been through that moment when you're in the final days of your teenage hood, rambling and complaining of how you don't wanna turn into an adult. For me, it isn't a big hoo-haa. Just that it's a sign that tells you you've to be more mature now.

I think I've been pretty childish with melodramatic Twitter updates and sometimes in my rant area here. I can't help it, I need to express myself or else I'd go kabooooom. Sometimes there's stories you can't exactly tell them to your close friends or loved ones and hence, the rants.

Numbness is slowly overpowering me. Things that make me feel sad no longer comes piercing through, more of like an ant bite and then I deal with it by sleeping it away or having a nice meal. Or maybe it's because I always do not put on high hopes as disappointment is highly proportional to the hopes you put on.

I guess it's time to grow up and start acting like how an adult would behave. But then again, adults make mistakes too. And most of the time their mistakes bring huger consequences. :/

Contradicting much? I guess the only way is to balance your head and heart. :)

Been living a healthy lifestyle right after the exams; one part of it not so which was partying. Nevertheless, there was minimum alcohol intake for me. Not a fan of whisky! Johnnie Walker phobia! Zouk with the peeps minus Ryan and Wendy :(

Mist the next day; wasn't in the mood but played a part to accompany the few. Ended up standing by the bar whatsapping away :/ T'was hot and packed too. Beginning to dread Mist already as the place's too congested with humans!

The healthy week commenced with a trip to Broga hill on Tuesday morning; as early as 4.15am, got a lift from Felina, picked up the rest and headed to Ryan's place. Set off in one car to Broga and started hiking up around 5.50am. It was really dark and thank god for the torchlights brought by the rest of them.

There were 3 peaks to ascend and I decided to stop at the 2nd one while the rest moved on. Period cramps were being a bitch and the scenery on the 2nd peak was pretty picturesque. Sat on a stone and enjoyed the view alone while the others went to the 3rd to light sparklers and lantern.

Climbing up was already freaking exhausting, you think coming down is easy? Think twice. The hill was steep with no proper steps. We practically almost slid down with the ropes there. Ended up in bruises and cuts with all that jumping and falling downs.

Nevertheless, it was worth hiking up for the view. It was quite chilly up there too and the surrounding trees made it cooling. We went up just to see the sunrise but the cloudy weather didn't allow us to experience it. :(

Washed up at Ryan's abode before going for dim sum at Sri Petaling and went home to hibernate. Zzzzzzz. Only slept 1 hour+ the previous night :/

Cycling trip to Taman Botani Negara/Taman Pertanian the very next day. Muscles were already aching and there was no time to recuperate. Was supposed to be held on another day but due to us being caught up in other stuff we had to opt for the very next day.

Breakfast at Subway in campus and headed off to Shah Alam. This time Dayang joined us while Han Pin and Zhen Yee could not make it. Reached our destination and started cycling around 10.25am. Got fed on by the mosquitoes there; would wear tracks the next time there.

And most of the paths were covered with moss that made it really slippery. Cycled or rather, pushed our bikes up paths that were really steep and the fun part was going down the hill. Didn't manage to go around the whole park as we were really exhausted. There were different attractions at different stops but we visited the animal farms and lake. Ended with lunch at some famous charsiew place in Shah alam.

Heading back to Jb tomorrow for two weddings on Saturday! Maybe I should just stay there till after CNY. ...

Last Christmas

Nicholas' wedding at Grand Palace, Pavilion (24th December). Went to Pavilion around 5pm to avoid the jam as there might be some Christmas celebration going on. Strut the whole mall in heels till 7pm+, not a wise choice. Nevertheless, it was a fun-filled dinner with a joyous atmosphere thanks to the happening relatives.

Met up with the girls who's back from Melbourne and up from Sg, and leaving to UK. A short night but it was good seeing almost everyone again. Got physically abused as usual; our childish act. Butt squeezed and boobs violated. :S And for once I felt that inferiority. Dang Joey! Ikea meatballs and Sherlock Holmes.

Everyone got down just to see the Pentax commercial board that Wendy was advertising for. Damn my roomie's famous now! Shooooooooo popularrrrrrrrr; couldn't stop teasing her. :P

Christmas celebration, cousin's wedding, new year's celebration and the constant mugging for mid terms. Memorising those law facts and cases seriously can drive you bonkers. You're on the start of reading this and you're forgetting the other at the other end.

And today was the Business Law paper. Mind went blank and hands turned cold in the midst, didn't get to answer much of the questions and panicked. Insufficient time was the main factor; 8 questions for 1 1/2 hours is seriously like biting off more than you can chew; in my case that is.

Immediately burst into tears in the end; got this sinking feeling in me I'm gonna fail. It's like high school once again where you can't answer most of the Add Math questions. I guess I'll have to take the supplementary test in May. Not gonna play the fool anymore; most of you would think I partied too much and I guess it's somehow true.

A rude awakening for me it is, this 2012. These few days of January haven't been good for me. I'm starting to doubt whether this year's gonna be a good year for me considering the downfalls I'm having at the start. I guess my new year's resolution would be to party less and concentrate more on studies.

And less heartbreaks, please.

2.04am and I've been facing the laptop since 1.00pm working on my Corporate Finance assignment and Business Law slides. Didn't even step out of the house today. It's a Saturday night and I'm domesticated like a cat while sisters' are at a friend's pool party that I decided to give a miss. And decided to pass on Daniel's birthday bash at @live, Kl.

Exactly a week to Christmas and I didn't even do any Christmas shopping nor bought any presents for anyone yet. Too busy :X Got myself a moisturiser from Kiehl's for myself though. Mummy and the siblings are coming up on Thursday and dad on Saturday, for another cousin's wedding's on Christmas eve.

I've come to realise I'm too afraid of taking chances. There's a chance for me to plunge into love but I'm not taking that step. Perhaps I'm too scared, afraid of getting hurt once again. Then again, maybe it's because there isn't sparks between us both. Or he's showing too much interest that I'm put off by it.

I prefer that adrenaline rush, though I've been told, and experienced for myself they never last long. Been there done that! In a state of perplexed mind right now. I myself am confused. I know I've changed over these years, no longer that naive, good girl who's into good boys. In the end, boys will be boys. They're the same species and they'd disappoint you in some way eventually.

I'll just hope that I'd find someone like myself. That way, we'd click no matter what ;)

A game I never win

And so I came across this quote from someone, "Whoever loves more, loses". I find it perfectly true cause I've been there, done that. Whoever who puts in more into the relationship ends up being desperate for the other party. For me, I end up losing forever because I can never bear to put the other party through agony of waiting for my reply or that heart wrenching moment of rejection.

Maybe because I put myself in their shoes and act accordingly. As the saying goes, "Do unto others like how you would want others to do unto you". Or maybe it's I'm afraid of losing them. Either way, I suck at this. And that's why I'm #foreveralone.

Then again, it's contradicting how I find that the party that loves more actually doesn't really lose. At least he/she gets to experience the adrenaline rush of loving someone whole-heartedly, stopping at no means just to ensure that they get to keep them. Maybe I'm like that. Sure enough, they make you feel like you're on a rollercoaster ride. But then again, it makes the ride worthwhile.

Oh well, just my two cents. I'm not going to open up to anyone just yet anymore. I'm sick of this whole game, a game that I never get to win. Prioritizing my studies first and enjoy life with my family and peeps. I don't need someone who's going to make my mood go like the signal on a defibrillator.

It's the time of the semester again when you're flooded with assignments. Business law and Management accounting due on the same day and Corporate Finance a few weeks after. Decided to stop working after getting nagged by dad every single time I'm on the phone with mom. Seriously, I could hear him in the background, "Ask her not to work anymore". :S And I figured that it's better to place an importance on studies and not tire myself out. Nevertheless, the 1 month+ experience was great. Mingling with customers, learning how to make smoothies,crushes,juices and wheat grass shots. (Y)

Celebrated Dayang's, Wendy's, Ryan's and Wen Li's birthday last two weeks. All these November babies made my expenses go skyrocketing. :P Luckily the job from Boost could cover some of it. Nah kidding, not that broke. :)

Other than celebrating Ryan and Wendy's 19th, it's been a tiring week for me. Caught the flu bug due to the heavy downpour on Monday, but recovering and feeling much better right now. Hit the cinemas on Wednesday for 'You're the Apple of my eye', a Taiwanese movie that brought most of us to tears.

Currently hooked on to this song, a movie that brought tons of memories back. Even some scenes were similar to what I went through this year. :') Staying home on a Friday, apart from the usual mall visits/movie trips/partying. A break from the usual happening routine I guess. Embarking on the pile of assignments!

It's probably the time of the month again and I'm feeling depressed like a kid who dropped his favourite Ben&Jerry's cone on the playground. To make matters worse, stomach's being a bitch and gastric's attacking me at this hour. Trynna complete tutorial work for tomorrow's class so I don't have to struggle but I can't stand it any longer. Hostel's connection is real shitty, eyelids are drooping, trynna post this before I collapse on bed.

Every single thing is getting on my nerves right now. Even not being able to solve questions for Management Accounting puts me off. Feeling like the dumbest girl on Earth, and I definitely don't wanna be the free rider in the group. I hate being despised and pitied.

Yes, I may appear to be melodramatic all the time, but that shows I have feelings and that I really treat every relationship whole heartedly. I try to play along, but in the end I got played. Every rejection I take in stride and I don't make up stories to cover up so that my ego would be held high. No, I'm not like that. It's your loss if you give me up. I'm sure God has greater plans for me, like focusing to be a career woman or something.

For now, I need to set my priorities right. Get that first class honor's degree and do my parents proud. Yes, I may be playful at times, enjoying most of my time, but hey I know how to juggle my time. Party hard, but study hard. I know some of you are judging me, but if you're not gonna enjoy now, then when? When you're 30? I know how to draw the line, mom and dad. I may not be the best but I definitely won't let you down.

Missing home a lot right now, wish I was 350km back from where I am now. And I don't even know what I just blabbered about, and what's the aim of this post. Ranting, perhaps. Goodnight.

A little update over the holidays and the past week. Spent most of the time with the eldest sister as the other sister was in Tokyo for 9 days. Played nanny to Sophie the Schnauzer while all of them was away. Been frequenting Publika, the new shopping mall just across the street from sis' place. Loadsa shops there but however, not fully opened

Signed up for a facial package with Mary Chia during their roadshow. T'was RM49 for a full facial and a hydrating treatment. Thinking it was really worth it, and so I paid for it. After getting consulted when I visited the centre, the beautician recommended a 'cocktail' treatment for my skin as my forehead's congested with pimples. Not till the extent that it's serious acne, but a few zits here and there.

And so I got brainwashed into giving them a try with their promotion thing in conjunction with their new opening at 1U. There and then, I signed up for their RM168 cocktail treatment. Got requested by them to drop by the next day to have a consultation on the current products I was using and got brainwashed again into signing a RM600 cocktail treatment package for 3 times.

After negotiating, they decided to upgrade my RM49 facial to the cocktail treatment. And in total I paid RM 817 for 5 cocktail treatments and 1 hydrating treatment. I hope it's gonna give me flawless skin, or at least improve my skin's condition. Tell me it's worth it please. Been convincing myself that a woman's face is her most prized asset.

Trip to Ikea yesterday and caught Shark Night at 1U. Didn't wanna give in to the rest who wanted to watch Hong Kong ghost story. Paying to get frightened is a nono for me. Shark night was pretty shitty with animated sharks though the actors were pretty hot with their washboard abs.

Liesa, a friend of ours was up in Kl for the weekend and so we brought her out for dinner at Alexis, Ampang. Loved the ambience there with jazz performance. Had a few glasses of Chardonnay's and almost fell asleep there. Lol. Brought her to Zeta bar at Hilton for a little partying. Bouncer at the door was checking ID's and I managed to get sis to slip hers into my hands. ;) Didn't really enjoy myself though, had to climb up early for work and the crowd's really old and filled with expatriates.

So last Saturday I attended the Astro B.Yond IPTV Hollywood and Celebrities night along with Jasmine after winning the invites. All dressed to the nines, we headed to the store in Solaris Mont Kiara. Thought we were a little overdressed as we were donned in our black dresses and heels, thinking it was a glam party. Lololol. Turned out most of the people were dressed up in their Halloween costumes instead.

It was a pretty spectacular night thanks to Nuffnang and Astro! My first costume party, though without one was great! :D

....and I hope I get to lay my hands on that Blue-Ray home theater system with this blog post!

Ipoh!

Headed up north on Friday with the peeps while we were on a week of Deepavali break. Initial plan was to spend a night over at Genting but most of the hotels were occupied and the bad weather pulled us back from the plan. We wouldn't want queuing up for rides in the downpouring rain.

First stop, Pun Chun Chicken Biscuit & Restaurant at Tambun for herbal duck noodles! Could really taste the authentic Chinese herbs in it, likey like. And they serve generous pieces of duck meat. It's around RM 7 per bowl and 7 of us shared 4 bowls of noodles and 2 bowls of soup. And the famous chicken biscuits there were famous, though I didn't buy any.

After another 40 mins of drive or so, we arrived at Ipoh! Went for the famous dim sum at Foh San. Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. But it's better than the normal dim sum shops that's full of lard. Urgh.

Amidst all that food we had, we still had space for tau foo fa! A drive thru tau foo fah store, apparently. Slurped down the silky smooth dessert in seconds!

Went over to 'San Bao Dong' for some sight seeing, the limestone cave that places the statues of Gods. Been there previously though, made a small offering to bless myself and family with happiness and health. :)

Cooled down ourselves on a scorching day like that with none other than iced white coffee at Nam Heong coffee shop! But I reckon Old Town's tasted better :P Piping hot egg tarts to go with it too! :B

Main attraction of the day was Kellie's Castle which is said to be haunted! First time there and I could feel the chills running down my spine. Jeng jeng jeng! There was filming done there by TV3 too, but couldn't recognise any actor or actresses. :/

Most of the parts were quite dangerous as it wasn't properly secured, as you can see the balcony doesn't even have railings and you could jump off anytime. Well, it was perhaps to maintain the spookiness and the authenticity of the castle.

500m away lies the Indian temple where there was an underground tunnel connected from the castle.

Ended our trip with famous Ipoh hor fun! T'was raining and the workers there even welcomed us with umbrellas. Good service!

Arrived at Subang around 9pm and we had burger for supper. Fatties we are, non stop eating the whole day! T'was a good road trip though, am loving it and looking forward to more! Credits to Ryan for the pictures and being driver for the day!

Week 4

Week 4 of classes, started off with having souvenirs all the way from U.S thanks to Ryan! Whole bag of goodies and birthday presents. Decided to get all the birthday presents from U.S cause it's cheaper and worth the money for the peeps. In the end, everyone received a Ralph Lauren shirt for the birthday people. Initial souvenir was a Coach wristlet but he somehow lost it while shopping. Oh well.

Mine!

Somehow Taylor's placed a few ducks and geese near the lake! Adds to the ambience minus the droppings they excrete all over the place. Posted a photo on FB and everyone's asking me to bring one home for dinner. It's a pretty sight watching them swim across the lake and feeding them during evenings. :)

Caught Real Steel, Love You You and Trespass this week to make up for all the movie sessions I've missed over the 3 months break. Loved the former two! Love You You brought me to tears, made me wanting to watch again. The beach scene's somewhat familiar.

Headed to Petaling Street yesterday to try out the famous dimsum at Yuk Woon Hin. Apparently it's gonna be demolished soon thanks to the building of the LRT. Food was mediocre, I reckon it'd taste better during mornings when it's piping hot.

Headed to Pavilion shortly after and after much contemplation over the week and visiting watch shops, I finally laid my hands on this. Needed a decent watch but not too exorbitant as Dad's gonna get me a good watch when I turn 21. He paid for this though. A classic design to suit all occasions, I'm pretty satisfied with it plus the fact that the strap's genuine leather.

A week of Deepavali break commences! Will be working instead of heading back to JB. :(

Boost!

Commenced work on the 15th, working as a part time barista in Boost, 1 Mont Kiara mall. Actually it was sis' decision and spurred me on to work there cause she's a gym junkie and always gets her juices from there. First day of work was great. Learnt to cut pineapples, watermelons, papayas and etc. For 19 years of my life, I've never really cut any fruits except apples and oranges. =.=

I got to blend juices for customers, and it's pretty exciting, concocting juices as according to the formula. And pay's pretty good as well, all I can say is it's more than Starbucks. :) Though not as much, but I thought I'd fill my weekends doing something productive instead of facing the laptop 24/7. Besides, it's gonna look good in my resume next time.

A week of classes before I go off for another week of break thanks to Deepavali! Struggling with my Financial Accounting tutorial work now. Shares, debentures, retained earnings all stuck in my head right now. 12.36 am, heading to bed!

Tutorial classes just commenced this week, most of our tutors are Indian/Punjabi? What happened to the rest of the Chinese/Malay tutors? Puzzling much. Managed to change to being in the same class as the rest of the peeps, after making a little fuss at the Divisional Office :D Haven't got to know/make any new friends yet.

On a side note, got complimentary Gold passes to Westlife's Gravity Tour 2011 thanks to sis' colleague whose wife's working in the entertainment industry. Same guy who got us VIP tics for Kenny G's, great guy he is. Was on the verge of tears when Westlife appeared on stage, singing all my favourite hits like My Love, World of our own, Flying without wings, and surprising us in the end with Uptown Girl. They even did covers like Bad Romance, The time, Only girl, and What about now. Promoted their new songs from their Gravity album as well.

They even called up a couple on stage and the guy proposed while Westlife was doing My Love. Very touching moment indeed. Surprisingly, they sang for 2 hours and their vocals sounded really good live. Best concert ever, and t'was my first boy band concert :')

Just realised that after a day of classes, I'd konk out even during a nap. Wednesday and Thursday's classes go from 8am to 6pm, with breaks in between but too long for a day! And while we're struggling with classes, Ryan's having the time of his life in Las Vegas right now wtf. Lucky brat's gone to U.S for 9 days, ugh.

Gonna work for Boost juice at 1 Mont Kiara mall every weekend, might shift to Publika@Solaris Dutamas. A tad excited yet nervous. Pay isn't really high, but I really wanna gain some hands on experience. And my sis is full on supporting me to take up this job cause she's a regular customer there. Can't wait! A lil update on the rest of my break; but for now, this week's the commencement of Year 2 classes! Great to see everyone again, some went off to UK, and new faces were seen. Whole lecture hall was pretty packed but I guess it's only for this week before half of them goes MIA.

Worked for Enfagrow Street Camp 2012 at AEON Jusco Tebrau City for 3 days. Pretty tiring with long hours of standing but made new contacts :D Basically, I had to play with the kids, asking them to grab 3 blue balls from the machine and explain the importance of DHA.

Panna Cotta with raspberries and almond tuilles

Went shopping for the ingredients at Cold Storage with mummy and realised that concocting this dessert was no easy feat and needs expenses too. A mere small box of raspberries costs 23 bucks :/ Nevertheless, we were willing to spend to come up with this wonderful dessert.

And it turned out exactly the same!

Was on the verge of tears while tasting it cause it turned out so good. The sour raspberries went really well with the sweet panna cotta and it cleanses your palate, leaving you wanting for more. Substituted pistachios with almonds instead. The tuilles were baked to perfection, crisp and sweet. Bliss!

Maybe I was cut out for culinary instead. Heh. But dad said that to never turn it into a career but a hobby instead. But who knows, I might open a little cafe tucked away somewhere in the future. ;)

Next aim is to make french macaroons seeing the fact I'm such a fan of them. But making macaroons is no piece of cake. The meringue must be at the right temperature, and piping them into perfect shapes needs practice. Oh well, I'll save it for the next holiday then, since I'm already heading back to Kl next week. Classes are commencing on the 3rd of October! Funny how fast time flies. In a blink of an eye, 2 and a half months of summer break is up. :(

Tied down with work this weekend to accommodate the upcoming heavy expenses! Will be working at an Enfagrow roadshow in Jusco Tebrau City. Hope it'll be a pleasant experience!

Eggs benedict!

Been slacking at home and doing practically nothing but facing the laptop most of the time. Decided to go through a few recipes and came across eggs benedict. I've always been a breakfast person, but usually I don't wake up in time or have no time for it. I'd grab a pack of crackers and munch them down on the way to class.

Since I have ample time and resources at home, decided to give this a go. Turns out pretty well, a little too much lemon juice and over melted the butter into a brownish residue. Nevertheless, it was pretty good for a first attempt. It's actually poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce in short. Supposed to be served over an English muffin and Canadian bacon, but had none so I had this with mom's grilled chicken.

Down with indigestion a few days ago and still recovering from it. Been vomiting and had a loss of appetite for 2 days already. Feeling much better today, managed to force down 2 small bowls of porridge, else dad was gonna bring me for drip. :/ Stomach's still churning now and having gastric attacks once in a while. Visited the doctor's and he concluded there's some bacteria infection. Gotta be more careful with what I consume now, even water.

Came back to Jb a week after Hong Kong, been slacking around practically. Facing the plastic box 24/7 with Singaporean tv dramas and Korean ones. Met up with Wendy, Emelia, Evelyn, Calven, Stephanie and Leon the following night. Chilled in OldTown at Molek and ended up in Overtime,Sentosa. =.= Thank you Emelia for treating us drinks! GREAT night out.

Meanwhile, met up with the girls the other day! Picked up Florence and decided to surprise Kim who's working at Starbucks, AEON Bukit Indah. Wasn't familiar with the roads there and ended up on the highway again when we already saw the mall thanks to Florence! Made another round and finally made it there.

Had the barista serve us specially and concoct our green tea frapp. Tasted pretty good! Heh. Managed to catch up for a bit during her break. Though short, but glad we met up!

Hong Kong part III

Day 8

Made a trip down to Disneyland! Headed to Citygate outlet for more shopping before that till we were reluctant to leave. Made our way to Disneyland only around 3pm. :/ Citygate outlet stuff were really cheap, but only managed to grab a few polo tees at Ralph Lauren due to shortage of time. Had to take the MTR to Tung Chung all the way from Tsim Sha Tsui to go to Citygate and then head back to Sunny Bay to take the Disneyland Resort Line.

Had lunch at Citygate's Food Republic as Disneyland's food was pretty expensive and not that good according to sis.

Got up bright and early cause it's the last day in HK and flight's at 6pm. Decided to do last minute shopping around the Kowloon area. Sis went to Sham Sui Po again to get her fabric stuff while cousin was my accompaniment. Brunch at another char chan teng. Food was mediocre.

Day 5

Decided to head to Central for shopping and trying out this dimsum place that sis had been raving about. Apparently it has been operating for more than 70 years and Anthony Bourdain, a famous American chef has been there. Took the star ferry again!

Taxi driver couldn't understand our Cantonese and even corrected our pronunciation. :/ Oh we took a taxi from the star ferry to the shop. The dimsum was really good, very authentic old school dimsum and you had to practically fight for it! Once it was out from the kitchen, people were hovering near the push carts for their share.

Day 6

Headed over to HK island again for more shopping; Central to be exact. Sis's bf was flying there for work and so accompanied her to check in the hotel before he landed. A service apartment to be exact, small but cosy enough. And I'm sure it ain't cheap.

Location was pretty near Lam Kwai Fong, famous for the bars, clubs, the party place. Checked it out one night while meeting a friend of sis's who's a dancer there. Pretty happening street!

Hong Kong Part I

The vivid scene still remains intact in my mind while mugging for SPM 2 years ago, when sis offered me a deal of a sponsored Bangkok trip should I score flying colours. She made the offer thinking that I could never achieve it, well I proved her wrong then. Well, it was Bangkok at that time since her ex-boyfriend was working there. Didn't get to fulfill that till this year, cousin told us she'd be in HK for a month for work. And she's afraid of staying alone and hence we joined her without having to pay for accommodation thanks to Standard Chartered.

The sister that was supposed to bring me along for the trip didn't tag along but paid for my flight and gave me some moolah for shopping ;)Flew there with the other sister who's been to HK for the third time this year. A total of 9 days we spent shopping and eating. It was crazeee.

Departed from LCCT on the 18th morning, cheap flight we got: RM 700+ to and fro. AirAsia, what else?

Hotel was just right next to this mall connected with other malls as well. Harbour City, Ocean Terminal, Lane Crawford and etc. It was practically our 2nd home. Oh the Star Ferry was right beside our hotel as well. So Marco Polo Hong Kong's quite a strategic spot. There's 3 Marco Polo's there so most taxi drivers are familiar with it by the Hongkong hotel.

Dinner time at City Super food court. Food there was kinda expensive, with approximately RM 20 and above for a meal. But their portion's huge and most of the food was superb so it's worth the money.

Headed to Mongkok, one of the tourist attraction places, better known for the underworld place and people. Visited Nu Ren street with stalls selling knick knacks. The feeling of being in Hong Kong finally sunk in with the buildings like how I'd see in movies and tv shows.

Lunch at one of the char chan teng, the workers were all men with gold chains around their necks and had looks that could kill. Food was mediocre there.

Brunch at Cafe de Coral before heading to Harbour City for more shopping. Sis went off to Sham Sui Po for her fabric stuff while I roamed the mall with cousin.

HK people really spoil their kids. We don't even have these shops in KL except in small sections of Parkson!

Shopped for a bit more and received a call from the other cousin to meet up and accompany her for dinner. Went to this famous wantan noodle shop called Chee Kei. Didn't really like the texture of wantan noodles in HK as it was too thin and you could choke on the noodles. But the wantan was good. Fresh shrimp and pork. And the broth, with shrimp taste in every sip. Salivating as I'm typing this wtf.

Decided to go over to Hong Kong island to shop in Central as we were in Kowloon side all the time. Took the star ferry there (8 min ride)

Had lunch at IFC mall, all the restaurants were super atas there except for McD. Settled for this. :D

Back in Kl again after 3 weeks or so being a domestic cat back in JB. Got chauffered around, grocery shopping, staying at home practically everyday. Only went out once with the girls and the rest with the family.

Being a promoter at PC fair was taxing! Soles were hurting by the 3rd day, but I made it through! Pay wasn't really high at RM70 per day but it was a good experience for an amateur like me. Opposite booths were Panasonic and LG tv, watched 2012, Avatar and Jay Chou concert on repeat till I was dumb. Managed to sell off all the mini speakers and most of the car mp3. Not bad eh for a first timer? ;)

Olivier came over from Sg the other day to visit and brought in foie gras, wine jelly and gingerbread for us! Goodness that you can't get here, it was flown from France from his mother. It's more like an atas version of SPAM?

Cooked aglio olio for the family for the first time and it turned out pretty well. It was pretty easy. Heat up olive oil, saute the shallots, chilli flakes and add in the pasta pre cooked in salt water. Add salt and pepper to taste. Toppings are optional, tuna, sausage, ham, bacon would be good.

And dad renovated the back part of the garden into some kitchen. Who would even cook in there =.= White elephant was costly at about 10k :/ Persuading him to turn it into a shed or store instead.

Famous cathay beef noodles closed down due to the death of the owner's son. Went for the substitute instead, as expected: mediocre.

Met up with Adeline who was back for 3 months from Canada along with Wendy and Kim! Crazy girl's been flying here and there from Thailand to Kl to Canada then US. Hung out at the new KSL mall, another paria mall. :/ Nevertheless, the company's what matters.

Lunch over at Seasons' followed by karaoke! Believe it or not, that crazy girl who'd dance with an afro in front of the whole school on Sports Day hasn't stepped into any club. Got crazy with the singing and dancing and she started stripping in the room (picture below) =.= Can't imagine how she'd be like with the booze and heavy music in the club. :P

Ended the day by patronizing the taufoofa stall there. It was omfg goodness and so silky like a baby's ass. Too busy slurping it down to take any pictures. Anyways, it's a yellow stall at the lower ground floor if I'm not mistaken. Had the original one instead, can't stand the Almond taste. I'm fine with almonds but not almond flavoured stuff.

Singapore Part II

Had waterworks laksa for breakfast, lek tau sua at aunt's place and headed in to SG again.

By the time we reached the hotel, it was already close to 2pm. Cheaper rate was obtained if you booked through the internet, was oblivious to it but ended up booking it there and then using the wifi provided. Stayed at Furama Riverfront which was a stone's throw away from Orchard and Zouk.

6 of us squeezed into a room and we ended paying around RM 82 each. Do the math ;)
Room wasn't ready for check in so we left our luggage at the concierge and headed off to Orchard.

Had TWG macaroons! T'was so good we went back the next day for more. Favourite ones were the caramel and passionfruit. I guess it was good as you can taste the tea flavour compared to other macaroons I had.

Some girls made us do this. But it turned out pretty :)

MOSburger for dinner before heading back to our hotel!

Rested for a bit and washed up, dolled up and walked over to Zouk for Dash Berlin! Queued up for nearly an hour just to enter! It was crazily packed but we had loadsa fun! ;)

Woke up around 10am, washed up, checked out but left our luggage in the concierge again to do our final round of shopping. Initial plan was to visit the Merlion but we haven't really gotten our hands on anything yet.

Headed back to the hotel to get our stuff, went on a wild goose chase thanks to the hotel attendees. Gave us the wrong information on which bus to take, ended up climbing the overhead bridge and walked unnecessarily when our legs were already breaking. Took the taxi in the end and headed back.

Can't wait for the next trip. An island getaway perhaps?

Singapore Part I

Boarded the 10.30 am bus back to Jb along with Jasmine, Ryan, Han Pin, Felina and Vincent. Initial plan was for Dayang, Dalton and Zhen Yee to join us as well but something cropped up. The rest were complaining how long the bus ride took (4 hours approximately)but somehow the constant talking and nap sessions made it seemed shorter for me.

Hungry monsters feasted on noodles and roast chicken prepared by dad and mao shan wang durian for dessert! Not forgetting durian ice cream as well. They were fighting over the durians as though they haven't had it in ages. Tsk.

Rested for a bit and brought them to City Square, the usual hangout place for all youngsters of Jb. Bought DVD's, had Cool Blog and exchanged money for Singapore trip. Damn the soaring high exchange rate! RM 200 = SGD 82

Back home for dinner, rested for a bit and brought them to Danga Bay for a walk. And kway teow kia for supper! Which you can't get it in Kl.

Got up bright and early the next day. Had breakfast at Kerala's and Storia Cafe before going into Singapore.

Boarded CW2 to Bugis, then took the MRT to Harbour Front and then the monorail to Universal Studio. Were in awe when we reached the place, spent our entire day there from 11am till about 8pm.

This was the most exhilarating ride ever; Cylon that got me screaming throughout the ride

Ended our day in USS with visits to Candylicious and Garrett's, got ourselves bags of popcorns and candies. :D Popcorn turned soggy the next day without being in an airtight container ): High heat in the microwave could only last it for a while till it turned soggy again. Oh well.

Got out of the island and had dinner in VivoCity before heading back to Jb. Thank God there was no jam! Had a good rest before heading into Sg again the next day.

Met up with Mei mei che che and Christian from Sg who's up in Kl for work. Brought them to Delicious, Bangsar Village II. Couldn't even take good pictures of the food as they were too famished and kept on attacking them. Zzz

Met up with the girls after ages. Dinner at Paddington's and Sunway Giza for drinks at Movida. Wasn't happy that we had to pay cover charge for a place like that. It wasn't even a club, but a lounge. Upon entering, saw people sinking their teeth into spaghetti and pizza by the bar while the music there was 'Put your hands up!' wtf?

Nevertheless, had a great time with the girls with rounds of 'I Never...', getting all tipsy and guys next table even offered us bottles of beer. Oh and I got burnt by a cigarette for the 3rd time already. Seriously am really pissed with all the smokers. Learn to hold your cigarette properly before puffing away will ya? Inconsiderate bastards. :@

Hooked onto this drama now. Been barely a week and I'm on episode 12 already. Hah. It's pretty good, with the suave Lee Min Ho as the main actor and good looking actors and actresses. Got me on the brink of tears at a few touching scenes :')Favourite line: "Don't be afraid of a shadow. It means light is nearby" :)

Gonna get back to it now!

Summer break!

The long awaited break for 3 months is finally here. It's only been 5 days and I can't wait for the highlights of the break ;)

Last paper was Econs where Wendy and I stayed up all night squeezing notes into a 2 sided A4 cheat sheet till around 8am. Slept for a few hours and sat for our exam at 3pm.

My hard work

Silly girl even wanted to laminate hers, but turned out that we had to pass it up with our exam answer so she didn't.

We, who make the effort to dress up nicely even for exams. RL & Zara :)

Partied with the peeps right that night, released all the stress we had. Great night we had!

Got surprised by Wendy and Wenli who decided to turn up last minute! Slipped my mind to take a picture with them again. :/

Had a lovely weekend by the pool at M's place, grocery shopping and then home made Japanese dinner prepared by sister.

Grilled salmon, oven baked aubergine with miso, ginger pork, chawanmushi & radish salad

I'm impressed by how she can always whip up such a spread. Guess cooking skills run in her blood. Wonder if there's any in mine? ;)

Accompanied Jasmine to renew her passport, had fun with the self-renew machine. You just had to press a few buttons, stuff the money, passport, IC, picture in an envelope and post it in the machine, wait for an hour, and voila, it's ready.

Brought her for her first threading experience and the poor girl ended up tearing. Lololol. Guess she has a low tolerance of pain. Went to SS2's pasar malam for some asam laksa and then home.

Caught the last Harry Potter movie with Han Pin yesterday. Most of the people either watched it already, or they didn't want to. And I'm the first passenger of his Wish after being in the workshop for 7 months! :D

A little sad now, knowing that it's the last one. Collected most of the books and watched every single movie in the cinema. Guess I'm quite a fan? Love the part of Severus' memories. Shan't spoil it further for those who haven't watched it.

Went to Manhattan's for dinner and he ordered too much. Stuffed ourselves till we could barely walk and we still couldn't finish it.

Breather

In the amidst of preparations for finals, stress definitely gets in the way. All the panicking, beads of cold sweat rolling down your temple. Worse comes to worse, the tears. Well I haven't gotten to that extent though. Found a way to curb my moodiness and stress; by playing the piano over at Oldtown. Surprised how music really made me calm and got my mood lifted.

Skills defo got real rusty after the absence of practice, but most of the songs are still deeply penetrated in my head. Looking for a part time job as a piano player, but I think there's not much availability. I really want to get some hands on experience on working. That thrill of spending your own money with your own effort would be worthwhile.

2.43am and I'm still preparing for Management's test on Monday. The first paper and it definitely got our critical thinking skills put to use. The amount of theories to memorize along with its elaborations. Save our souls please :(

Deprived of sleep along with dose of caffeine almost everyday now. What's worse is pimples are beginning to pop out. Chugging down loadsa liquid to salvage my skin along with tea tree oil to reduce the inflammation.

Better head to bed now!

It's study week now, and the whole campus is practically quiet with only a handful of people around. Guess most of the courses are on break. Can't believe how fast time flies. Year 1 is coming to an end, a few of my classmates are going off to UK for year 2! Dayumm rich kids. Group picture during our last EBA class!

On a side note, went to Nathalie's Gourmet for macaroons last Friday at Solaris Dutamas! Was feeling bored and had no mood to study till Han Pin suggested to go there. It was almost closing when we reached the place so we had to opt for takeaway instead. Devoured them over at Switchblade with coffee. Bliss!

It's RM 4.40 per piece which is quite exorbitant but truly worth it. Best part of it was sharing with the rest of the peeps, bite by bite. We'd watch as each person took a bite out of it so that they wouldn't take big bites. Macaroons are best enjoyed with company. You'd get sick if you were to devour them as a whole and you couldn't possibly try out so many flavours. My favourite was the caramel and pistachio. :)

Shall go back to studying now! 6 days to finals and 12 days to freedom!

Take over control

Adapted from Tumblr and I find it so freaking true. I look back the days of high school and college, and I realised I changed drastically. Looks, dressing, mindset, attitude, till I terrify myself. I have no idea whether it's for the better or worse. Sometimes I'd ponder on things I've done and a swarm of regret would fill on me. Doing things that isn't who I truly am. But yet, we only live once, we should experience things we never did and not just stay on the safe side.

Contradicting myself time and time again. Oh well. People surrounding me are getting attached. From high school mates to college peeps and I'm still forever alone. I have no one to blame but myself. Too picky and choosy. Blew chances that came by and pushed away people that came to me. Most of them were caused by lack of sparks. How could I accept people that I can't strike up a conversation with without effort?

Oh yeah, there were people that I had feelings for, times where I was truly happy being with them. But somehow, things cropped up and it didn't work out. :( Well at least I have a bunch of bosom buddies and a wonderful family that I can spend time with. Just missing out on that special someone. I believe he'll pop up someday and I'll definitely love and treasure him to bits. :)

Right now, down with the flu and am on the verge of falling sick while I have tons to study for my finals in 2 weeks. Missing home out of a sudden where I'd be fed with medicine and ushered off to bed. :( Back to the books. Goodnight!

Booyahhh

Year 1's coming to an end. Two weeks to finals and summer break commences! And it's 3 freaking months. Imma shop, watch endless movies, eat, go crazy, party! For now, I'm still stuck with Management's portfolio and half the time it's all crap. Better get done with this and study.

Went partying with the high school girls the other day but sadly we didn't take any pictures. We had fun though, hitting the dance floor and stage for a bit. Can't wait for the second round. Managed a picture with my other peeps though.

One of my sista's gone domestic, less partying with her and I miss her :( We used to go on shopping escapades together every now and then but she has her man now. Reminisced on how crazy we were at Zoukout 2010 and our midnight gossip sessions. I remember how we'd meet up and do our make up before we go partying and the sleepover sessions we would have. And how we'd spot cute guys when we were out and then comment on their height, etc. Now I can only keep it to myself, afraid of her man being jealous D: I miss you Felina Kang! Oh well, attached people are bound to drift away somehow.

Luckily I still have another new sista: Jasmine Khoo who's the camwhore queen and stares into mirrors every 5 minutes at every possible thing with reflection.

Bali! (Part 2)

Day 3

Woke up in the middle of the night with a bad stomachache, got the runs and thought I'd be fine in the morning. Had milk and papaya for breakfast till I realise I made it worse. Visited Kuta beach, nothing much there as it looked like Port Dickson to me.

Felt really weak at the museum and was practically shivering. Didn't get to enjoy much there. And it was pretty boring as well with all the statues, swords and etc. Only liked the carvings of the buildings there like in the following picture. Practically the whole of Bali's buildings are filled with intricate carvings.

Went to this restaurant named Pacung for lunch with a breathtaking view and the temperature there was 18-20 degrees celcius. Food was not really good as it was mostly cold and bland. :/

Next destination was one of my favourite place, the lake temple. Thought that temples were pretty boring at first but this definitely changed my mind. It had the most picturesque view of mountains in the background and the temple was on the lake with rowing boats and people fishing. On top of that, the temperature was quite low and cooling.

Stopped by strawberry fields for drinks and strawberries plucking! Had some yucky pastry too :/

Last destination before dinner was Tanah Lot temple. Another temple with an awesome view on top of the cliff overlooking the sea. Along the way were loads of stalls selling souvenirs and there were people offering pictures taken for RP20000 = RM 8.
And we took a few for rememberance.

Day 4

Last day in Bali, last destination was Dreamland Beach, best destination ever. To enter the place, tourists had to pay RM100 each inclusive of lunch. It was the best beach I've ever been so far with the Indian Ocean where the sea had 3 shades of blue. Even went surfing there! Okay not the stand-up surfing though.

Headed to the Denpasar airport to fly back to Changi. Really enjoyed this trip, and would love to head back to explore the other places in Bali! :)

Bosom buddies

Just got over with one assignment and another one's due next week! Gonna have a little breather before embarking on it! Got my hair dyed into a totally different colour over the weekend in Jb. Figured out that it'd be better to go to a renowned hair saloon that I could get cheaper prices with than in Kl. Got my hair done at Elle Studio, Plaza Pelangi for RM340 plus treatment! Guess if I were to opt for A Cut Above here it'd be around RM 400+?

Sick of the black roots and obvious frizzy hair. Gonna take good care of my hair for now. One of a girl's assets is beautiful hair!

What I got from twitter today is really true. "A true friend cares like a mom, scolds like a dad, teases like a sister, irritates like a brother and loves more than a lover." I live by the rule of 'Friends should be like books, few but good'. I'd rather have a few friends than a whole lot of fair-weathered friends.

Got caught up with PMS the other day and somehow it turned me into a monster. I took concern for granted and even turned it into spite. I should be penalized heavily for that. Never ever put someone before your best friends.

***Ryan and Felina, thank you for being there for me always. I'm really sorry that I got mad at you guys at the way you put and settled things for me. I admit I was in the wrong but I couldn't help feeling that way. I'm the worst friend ever, but please don't turn your backs on me and wash your hands off me! :(
